Innovative Designer

In this activity, students will build a bridge to save the students in the book. The teacher used the book Iggy Peck, Architect that posed a problem. The students were presented with materials to build their bridges: plastic cups, plastic water bottles, toilet paper rolls, cardboard and masking tape. Using their math skills, they have to budget their money to buy the materials needed to build the bridge. The students had to work together to decide what they needed and how much they would spend. Once they've collected their materials needed, students will build their bridge, and then test it by running a robot across it. Failure means they have to go back to the drawing board; success is saving the students from the book.
